We have worked in many different Children Centres throughout the area over the last 9 years. (Townsend, Somerford, West Moors, Ferndown, Verwood, Boscombe, Stokewood , Wimborne)

We have been involved in open days, family fun days as well as running weekly sessions

Obviously funding has changed considerably over the years.  Some Children Centres have been able to employ us and offer their parents/careers free sessions, others have charged a subsided rate for the session and others have covered our travelling costs and provided a free room.

Child-minders are very welcome at our sessions.  We offer a sibling rate and are happy to do this on a pay as you go basis.

Under 1's

We are happy to give free taster sessions to under 1’s groups, young parent groups and “stay and Play” groups.  These are always received very well and we enjoy doing them.

In service training: -

We have delivered many very successful music workshops to a variety of settings.  These have included a conference at Bournemouth University, several nursery/playgroup settings and child-minders groups Our Twinkle Toes workshop looks at how to have fun with music. All the songs and activities develop children’s speaking and listening skills within the EYSF framework. It is a very hands on session.  We will work with percussion instruments, drums (large and small) and a parachute. We will look at new songs and give you ideas on how to use old favourites. Discover various ways of how to include contrast; anticipation; actions; props etc. to enhance your teaching. Explore ideas to help children follow instructions, share, cooperate and turn take through music. We will offer practical tips and suggestions (that have worked well for us) on how to use music as a vehicle to support children’s learning throughout the whole curriculum
